About Our School

 
Whitney E. Houston Academy of Creative and Performing Arts is one of the East Orange School District’s
America’s Choice schools. The America’s Choice program focuses on the enhancement of students’ reading
and writing skills across the entire curriculum to enhance the academic achievement of every student.
The Creative And Performing Arts theme permeates all areas of instruction. This theme has been designed to
enhance students’ natural creativity, talents, interests, and skills by providing exciting learning opportunities in
a dynamic, multi-faceted, creative and performing arts environment. Students engage in vocal and instrumental
music, a variety of dance genre`, fine arts projects, and dramatic stage presentations.

The mission of the East Orange School District’s Office of Educational Technology is to: Visualize, design,
engineer, integrate and sustain educational technology environments, experiences and solutions in support
of curricula, instructional theory and practice.
