            Whitney E. Houston Academy houses a state-of-the-art computer lab with twenty-five eMac
computers and high-speed, Internet access, a color laser printer, three digital cameras, a scanner,
one digital video camera, and a LCD projector.


            Students in grades one through eight engage in hands-on content-rich technological experiences.
We also employ three mobile, wireless computer labs, each with sixteen iBook, laptop computers,
wireless printers, and Airport assisted wireless Internet access. These mobile labs assist classroom
teachers with the infusion of technology and technological applications throughout each discipline.


             Each academic classroom also houses six iBook laptop computers to engage students in
interactive learning activities in reading, writing, mathematics, science, social studies, technology
literacy, and the arts.

            Students engage in a variety of technology-infused projects including Slide-Show Magazine
Presentations, Research Reports, Creative Writing Activities, WebQuests, Project-Based Learnig and
Internet Scavenger Hunts.
